ONGOING PROJECTS
Biolite is a waste-to-value initiative by Enactus IIT Delhi, aimed at diverting over 3 lakh discarded green coconuts daily from Delhi NCR vendors. By establishing a structured supply chain, we transform this waste into high-value products like briquettes, activated carbon, coconut coir and cocopeat—reducing landfill burden, cutting methane emissions, and creating sustainable economic opportunities
Over 2 million tonnes of temple floral waste are discarded daily, leading to pollution and environmental harm due to improper disposal. By using efficient distillation techniques, this waste can be transformed into essential oils and other valuable by-products, reducing pollution and promoting sustainability. This innovative approach not only creates green jobs but also encourages responsible disposal practices. Ultimately, it supports a circular economy and helps protect the environment through community involvement.

"The Last Rite Done Right by Arth, a social enterprise led by IIT Delhi students, aims to curb deforestation caused by traditional cremation practices. Our solution introduces cow dung logs, modified for lower emissions, preserving rituals while offering an eco-friendly alternative. With an innovative drying solution, Arth accelerates the process, promoting widespread adoption across the country."

"Menstruation Is Not A Disease focuses on enhancing menstrual hygiene for women in India by addressing the three 'A' frontiers: Awareness, Accessibility, and Affordability. Through interactive sessions conducted by locally trained women, we promote awareness. Currently, we are establishing distribution channels for affordable sanitary napkins to benefit the local community."

"Let's Making A addresses the issue of back pain in rural schoolchildren, arising from prolonged sitting on classroom floors. Introducing 'Amaze(A),' a bag-cum-desk designed by our team, we've made it sustainable by incorporating cost reduction through company advertising."

"Addressing the severe impact of indoor air pollution causing 2 million premature deaths annually, Project Aanch presents an innovative solution. Our team introduced a new household stove model, empowering local women with the knowledge and means to manufacture and sell these stoves. This collaborative model turns these women into entrepreneurs, significantly contributing to the resolution of indoor air pollution."
